Our bodies are our temples, so it makes sense why we take the process of looking and feeling good so seriously. How we look is tied directly to how we feel and our sense of self-value and confidence.

When you make the decision to use a non-surgical facial aesthetics treatment, you’re carving out time for yourself and putting your needs first. As time goes on, your skin and body may need a boost every now and then to keep you feeling your best. That can be a great thing and lead to a positive snowball effect in all facets of your life—because when you feel good, everything else in life seems to go a little better.

If you’re interested in keeping your skin looking as young as possible, aesthetic treatments are for you. You likely want skin that is radiant, free of blemishes, and looks as young as possible. Facial treatments can improve the appearance of individuals who have mature skin and issues such as acne scars, dark spots, or enlarged pores. One way to get fantastic-looking skin is by taking advantage of the numerous non-surgical cosmetic procedures available on the market. These are designed to give users clear, beautiful skin. Most people can expect to see long-lasting results immediately after the procedure or after a series of regular treatments.

Non-surgical aesthetics specialists are experienced in ensuring that you have the correct treatment that suits you, and they help you better understand your skin and body for future procedures. Beverly Hills Aesthetics has many non-invasive skin treatments to help you achieve a rejuvenated, youthful look. Here are six procedures you can choose from to revitalize your look.

Acne Treatments

Acne is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that causes spots and pimples on the shoulders, back, neck, chest, upper arms, and especially the face. Human skin has pores that connect to oil glands under the skin, and follicles connect the glands to the pores. Pimples grow when these follicles get blocked, and oil builds up under the skin, causing swelling and bacterial infection.

Depending on how severe and persistent the acne is, treatment may vary. BHA offers a diluted corticosteroid injection to help prevent scarring, reduce inflammation, and speed up healing. Oral antibiotics and contraceptives also help combat the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation. Intradermal BOTOX® benefits those with oily skin and oversized pores, giving you a beautifully smooth, poreless, matte finish to your skin. Intradermal BOTOX® is injected into the fine muscles in the skin attached to hair follicles to minimize pores and prevent recurring acne breakouts due to its ability to reduce excessive skin oil. We also offer acne scar treatments to help your skin stay blemish-free.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peel facials, specifically our Red Carpet Peel, can clear sun spots and acne scars and restore your face’s bright, rejuvenated look. The Red Carpet Peel seeps into the skin and boosts collagen production while lifting off the top layer of the skin. This causes a peeling effect and reveals the second layer of skin, which has fresher, tighter cells that are not as damaged. You could feel a burning sensation (similar to a mild sunburn) for 1-2 minutes during the peel.

The complete peeling process can take up to three days. You may be given a special moisturizer or a gentle cleanser to avoid irritation.

Restylane Skin Booster

Restylane Skin Boosters improve the skin’s firmness, elasticity, and radiance by boosting the skin’s natural hydration levels and collagen production. This, in turn, enhances the skin surface texture and appearance. This non-surgical aesthetic procedure is a course of three treatments four to six weeks apart. Afterward, a maintenance treatment once every six months is recommended.

The treatment is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle and typically lasts about 30 minutes. The microinjections stimulate the fibroblasts to produce more of the body’s own hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin, meaning the benefits go beyond treatment. You can also use numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable.

Downtime is minimal, and many clients can return straight to work. Some reactions might include slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising, pain, and tenderness. However, the reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection or within one or two days.

Microneedling

Also beneficial for acne scar treatment, microneedling is performed by a high-tech device that uses an array of fine needles to pierce the skin to a controlled depth just below the outer layer. This stimulates the skin to produce collagen and elastin, which helps improve fine wrinkles and pores and reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks. The non-invasive skin treatment can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the treatment area. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the treated area for 30 minutes to minimize discomfort. Then, the skin is cleansed with an antibacterial solution for complete sterility.

Several treatment sessions are needed to reach optimal results—four to six weeks between treatments is recommended. Most patients see results within six weeks of the first treatment. The whole effect will continue to develop over the following three months as the body takes time to generate new collagen. Your revitalized look can last for years.

Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

If you suffer from sun damage, this procedure can help reverse the effects and soften scars, reduce pores, and tighten skin. Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing uses a wand-like laser handpiece to bore tiny holes with columns of energy light. While it’s not as painful as it sounds, this method works to prevent damage to the top layer of skin, offering maximum results with minimal recovery time. The body’s natural collagen production is put on fast forward, eliminating undesired skin cells and wrinkles and encouraging fresh new cells.

The procedure also offers more control over the penetration depth of the skin’s surface, allowing an increased degree of precision and safety in treating delicate areas. Afterward, you will continue to see additional improvements as collagen builds over the next several months.

Non-surgical aesthetic procedures offer benefits on a deeper and more effective level, improving your look, mood, and self-confidence. Certified aesthetic specialists can guide you and understand what kind of skin you have and what treatment you may need. These are not the only benefits individuals can experience when using aesthetic treatments. If you are dealing with an uneven skin tone, sensitive skin, and other skin issues, an aesthetic treatment reduces discomfort. It also eliminates the need for long-term, expensive treatments anywhere else.
