How it Works:

Known in the medical field as the “Sutures Suspension” or SMAS lift, sutures are placed under the skin to lift the facial features without any actual cutting. By introducing sutures through small incisions in the skin or scalp, I am able to anchor the loose tissue (SMAS), lift and fix it to a deep stable tissue at a higher position with no visible scars. The sutures absorb slowly allowing enough scar tissue to develop around them ultimately cementing the lifted muscle in place.

Recovery:

This safe and minimally invasive procedure only requires local anesthesia to minimize any risks of complications during the suturing process. Although rare, some localized swelling and bruising may appear around the facial areas for the first 24-48 hours. This can easily be managed with ice packs and medication, which our staff will provide you with. You may return to most normal daily activities as early as the next day, but should not engage in strenuous activity for at least one to two weeks.
