HOW IT WORKS

Dr. Assassa begins by administering tumescent local anesthesia to the treatment area, which numbs the tissue and minimizes bleeding. A small laser tip probe is then inserted through a tiny incision, where laser energy liquefies the targeted fat cells. The liquefied fat is gently suctioned away while the laser simultaneously stimulates collagen production in the surrounding tissue, promoting skin tightening as the area heals. Because the procedure is performed under local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia, patients remain comfortable throughout and recover significantly faster than with traditional liposuction.

RECOVERY

It is important to consider the recovery process when deciding to undergo a Smart Lipo procedure. The duration of recovery depends on the extent and location of the procedure, but typically involves minimal discomfort comparable to post-workout muscle aches. Rest is recommended for a few days, but the amount of rest required varies based on the patient’s comfort level and the extent of the procedure.

One Week Later

Swelling of the area decreases slightly but can be reduced further with ultrasound and or lymphatic massage.

Three Months Later

After three months of recovery, the tissue fully heals and reorganizes, resulting in tighter and smoother skin with less visible stretch marks. Ultrasound and lymphatic massage can also help reduce swelling in the area
