How it Works: If you’re looking for a subtle lift without actual surgery, the CosmoFacelift™ is a good solution. Known in the medical field as the “Sutures Suspension” or SMAS lift, sutures are placed under the skin to lift the features without any actual cutting.
By introducing sutures through small incisions in the skin or scalp, we are able to anchor the loose tissue (SMAS), lift it, and fix it to a deep stable tissue at a higher position with no visible scars. The sutures absorb slowly, allowing enough scar tissue to develop around them to cement the lifted muscle in place.
Recovery: A local anesthesia is used during the procedure minimalizing the risk of complication during the procedure. Localized swelling and bruising around the area may occur for the first 24-48 hours, but can be controlled with ice packs and painkillers. The patient can return to most normal daily activities the next day, but should not engage in strenuous activity for at least one to two weeks.
