Beverly Hills Aesthetics: SweatZap™ -- ''A Gentle Way to Zap Sweat Glands and Control Sweaty Armpits Permanently''

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - December 2007 - (BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Sam Assassa, aesthetic medicine specialist and founder of Beverly Hills Aesthetics, is one of the first Cosmetic specialists in the United States to offer his clientele “The SweatZap™”.

Approximately 7 million people in the US are affected by excessive sweating and or hyperhidrosis according to the American Academy of Dermatologists. Excessive perspiration is a condition whereby an individual produces an excessive amount of perspiration and sweat.

“SweatZap™” is a revolutionary breakthrough in the treatment of excessive armpit sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis) which may cause "serious emotional and social problems," says Dr. Assassa. This one hour procedure invented by Dr. Assassa, combines the use of micro lipocannula and a gentle laser therapy called “SMARTLIPO™” which safely provides a permanent solution for this embarrassing and depressing problem.

About SweatZap™

“SweatZap™” is performed under local anesthesia (Tumescent technique). A very small cannula (tube) approximately 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm in diameter is inserted through small puncture incisions to reach and gently extract sweat glands from the armpits. Once the sweat glands are evacuated, a laser fiber, which is fed through a cannula, is then inserted through the same puncture incisions. It’s moved back and forth delivering the laser's energy directly to the superficial sweat glands. “Due to the cannula's small size, 'SweatZap™' is considered to be a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia. Because of laser use, small blood vessels coagulate immediately on contact, resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising and a quicker recovery time. Normal activities can be resumed in a couple of days after the treatment,” Dr. Assassa explains.

Benefits of SweatZap™

“Excessive sweating can cause immense discomfort in social situations, pungent odor and the ruining of countless shirts and expensive suits or dresses. Many patients come to my office despondent because of their failure to control excessive armpit sweating which sometimes can be a debilitating struggle that negatively affects everything from careers and education, to relationships and having fun. Now we can change their life with 'SweatZap™'. This minimally invasive treatment does something that no strong antiperspirant in the world can: get rid of armpits sweat glands permanently,” says Dr. Assassa.

“You can finally put an end to this miserable problem permanently! SweatZap™ can dramatically restore your confidence and eliminate this mortifying dilemma," Dr. Assassa says.
