Affected Areas: Intradermal BOTOX® is a procedure that benefits those with oily skin and oversized pores. Intradermal BOTOX® gives you a beautiful smooth, poreless, matte finish to your skin.

How it Works: Unlike Cosmetic BOTOX®, Intradermal BOTOX® is not injected into the muscles that target facial expression. Instead, it is injected into the arrector pili, or fine muscles in the skin attached to hair follicles that cause them to protrude from the skin at the surface. That protuberance is known as a pore. Therefore, injecting BOTOX® in this manner contracts the skin’s pores.

When you minimize pores, this results in a smaller skin surface area. This stretches the skin out over the face, and causes an inadvertent facelift, known in our clinic as the BOTOX® lift.

For optimal effect, we recommend that Intradermal BOTOX® be done together with Laser or IPL. If BOTOX® is being used as The BOTOX® Lift, we strongly recommend that it be done with IPL and Laser for the best results.

Our Recommended Synergistic Combinations

  • We strongly recommend that Intradermal-BOTOX be done together with Titan, Laser Genesis, Cooltouch or IPL for their synergistic properties.
  • Used as The BOTOX Lift, we strongly recommend that it be done with Titan or Thermage, again for the synergistic effects.
