Don’t Sweat It This Summer
Most of us have been there: we want to wear that new red or gray or pink or blue or [insert any color here] shirt, but we know it’s going to be a hot day or we might be presenting to clients and be a little nervous, or maybe we just naturally sweat a lot, but either way we don’t want the embarrassment that comes along with wet armpits clearly visible on colored shirts. And we definitely don’t want to be wearing black and white all summer, or even worse, wearing multiple layers through the hot weather in an effort to hide our sweat.
Excessive sweating can really put a damper on your day (and wardrobe), and since summer is right around the corner those who tend to sweat more than others naturally are probably dreading having to bear the wet armpits. Sweating excessively has been diagnosed in some patients as Severe Primary Axillary Hyperhidrosis. This basically means they have over-active sweat glands that work beyond the body’s normal means of sweating to cool down.
Intradermal BOTOX can be used to minimize pores and in the case of excessive sweating, block the chemical that produces sweat. SmartLipo uses laser therapy to actually remove sweat glands all together and can only be performed in the armpit area.
The consultation for both procedures is normally 30 minutes at our office. Intradermal BOTOX takes about 30 minutes for the procedure to be done while SmartLipo usually lasts about 90 minutes.
There is no recovery or downtime with Intradermal BOTOX, however, you should plan ahead with SmartLipo procedures because the side effects can include bruising and swelling that normally last about a week. Those who opt to go the SmartLipo route will have permanent results while the results of Intradermal BOTOX last around 6-8 weeks.
Anyone with questions about excessive sweating or wanting to figure out if Intradermal BOTOX or SmartLipo is the right procedure for you, should call Beverly Hills Aesthetics at 888.349.2069.
Don’t spend time and money on finding the best anti-perspirant and especially don’t worry about wearing bright and fun colors this summer. If you’re an excessive sweater and constantly in fear of having wet armpits or stains under your arms from sweating there are definitely options for you to help yourself. With summer on the way, there isn’t a better time to look at your options for stopping your sweat problems.
